How a Custom Order Works
Ordering a one-of-one piece is not the same as buying furniture off a shelf, and it should not feel like it. Here is exactly what happens, in order, and how long each part takes.
1. Tell Us About the Space
Send the room dimensions, the clearance you have around the intended position, and - most usefully - a photo. Describe the feeling you want rather than the product: calm, warm, architectural, dramatic. The material choice follows from that.
2. Materials and Design
We propose combinations: wood species and slab character, whether the resin channel stays clear or carries natural stone or preserved moss, resin tint, base finish, and whether integrated LED lighting makes sense for how you use the room. You can specify as much or as little as you like.
3. Confirmation and Payment
Once dimensions and materials are agreed, the order is confirmed and paid in full. Production begins after payment, because the slab is selected and committed for your piece specifically.
4. Production: 25-30 Days
- Week 1 - slab selection, flattening, stabilising, drying to stable moisture content
- Week 2 - sequential resin pours in a temperature-controlled environment
- Week 3 - curing, while the resin binds into the grain
- Week 4 - levelling, progressive sanding, hand polishing, base fitting
5. Packing and Delivery
Each piece is packed by hand for transport. Shipping within Europe takes 5-10 business days, and a tracking number is provided after dispatch.
6. Living With It
Resin surfaces are more forgiving than they look. The whole routine is a soft damp cloth - the only real rules are no direct heat, no abrasives or solvents, and no permanent unshaded sunlight. We covered it in How to Care for an Epoxy Resin Table.
